The Abia State Police Command has launched a search for a motorcyclist who absconded with three children – Gideon Osinachi (8), Divine Osinachi (6), and Israel Osinachi (4) – while conveying them home from school on May 10, 2024, in Amaoba Ime Oboro community, Ikwuano Local Government Area.
The children’s mother, Glory Osinachi, narrated that her mother-in-law had paid the cyclist N100 to convey the children home, but they never arrived. The community and police have been searching for the cyclist, who is not a registered member of the commercial cyclists association.
The police spokesperson, SP Maureen Chinaka, confirmed the incident and stated that investigation is ongoing, with the command working to trail the suspect.
The community is in shock, as this incident is unprecedented. The children’s mother is distraught, and the police are urging anyone with information to come forward to aid in the rescue of the abducted children.
