Ohinoyi of Ebiraland Advocates for Rotational Governorship Seat in Kogi State

The Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, HRM Dr. Ahmed Tijani-Anaje, has called for the rotation of the governorship seat across the three senatorial districts of Kogi State to promote equity, fairness, and justice. He made the call during a courtesy visit by the management of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, led by its Rector, Prof. Salisu Ogbo Usman.

The paramount ruler emphasized the need for legislation to make the governorship seat rotational, stating that it would reduce tension and ensure equity, fairness, and justice in the state. He commended the Rector for his achievements in the institution, particularly the establishment of the School of Agricultural Technology, and praised Governor Ahmed Ododo for his achievements in Kogi State.

Ohinoyi also commended the Kogi youths for not participating in the #EndBadGovernance protest, describing their decision as highly commendable, and urged Nigerian youths to embrace dialogue. He admonished Nigerians to go back to agriculture, stressing that it would guarantee food security and economic development in the country.

The Rector, Prof. Salisu Ogbo Usman, had visited the Ohinoyi to congratulate him on his ascension to the throne, intimate him of his reappointment, and seek his prayer, support, and fatherly advice. He also appealed to the Royal father to intervene in the encroachment of the school land in its satellite campus in Itakpe, Adavi Local Government Area.

The Ohinoyi assured the Rector of his total support for the betterment of the institution and the state in general and urged the Polytechnic to provide the Palace with relevant documents to guide the traditional council in resolving the encroachment issue amicably without crisis.
