The Oba Yoruba in Ankpa Kogi state,Alhaji Chief Lamidi Afinowi is dead.
Alhaji Lamidi died after a brief illnesa at the National Hospital,Abuja in the early hours of Tuesday.
A family statement issued by the eldest son ,Abdulrasaq Afinowi confirmed the demise of the traditional ruler.
Chief Afinowi,a prominent business man span for over five decades, lived all his life in Ankpa town before his death.
Alhaji Chief Lamidi Afinowi took over from Late Alhaji Chief Idris Oloko-oba as Oba Yoruba of Ankpa,Kogi state.
Yoruba Community is an organised people span for over seven decades with Alhaji Baba Dogo as the first Oba Yoruba Ankpa in Kogi state.
The community has been thrown into mourning since the demise of the traditional ruler.
His remains will be buried today in Ankpa town today Wednesday,in Kogi state.
