No Man Can Shake You, Odili Backs Fubara Urges Him To Stay Focused

Former Rivers State Governor Peter Odili has thrown his weight behind the administration of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, urging him to remain focused on his people-centered objectives.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Omoku-Egbema Road in the state on Saturday, Odili praised Fubara’s achievements and assured him of the people’s support. He stated that the projects undertaken by the current administration are enough to secure the people’s support for the 2027 election.

“Don’t be afraid because when the people are with you, be assured that God is with you, and no man can shake you,” Odili said, encouraging Fubara to stay the course.

This endorsement comes amid a protracted political conflict between Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, which has been ongoing for over a year. Wike, now the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has had a strained relationship with Odili, whom he once referred to as his “father.”

Odili’s public backing of Fubara is seen as a significant development in the political dynamics of Rivers State, signaling a shift in support away from Wike and towards Fubara. The move is likely to bolster Fubara’s position and strengthen his administration’s mandate to continue implementing people-centered projects and policies.

With this endorsement, Fubara is poised to continue his people-focused agenda, undeterred by the political tensions surrounding him. The people of Rivers State will be watching closely to see how this development unfolds and what it means for the future of the state.
