No Longer Interested: Emeka Ihedioha withdraws from Imo PDP guber primary, gives reason

Emeka Ihedioha, a former governor of Imo has withdrawn from the governorship primary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

Mr Ihedioha, cleared few days ago to contest for the ticket of the opposition party, announced his withdrawal in a letter dated March 27, 2023.

In the epistle addressed to the PDP, the former governor sacked by the Supreme Court early 2020 said he was stepping down for the consensus candidate of the party.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had announced November 11 as the date for the governorship election in the state.
