Nigeria Turning Into Gov’t Of Tinubu, By Tinubu, For Tinubu; Citizens’ Future Mortgaged To Him, His Family And Associates –Atiku

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has alleged that President Bola Tinubu is turning Nigeria into a government of himself, by himself, and for himself, mortgaging the future of citizens to him, his family, and associates.

Atiku claims that Tinubu is replicating his Lagos model, where his proxies manage critical sectors and generate revenue for him and his family, at the federal level. He cites the example of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and its retail arm being controlled by OVH, a company linked to Wale Tinubu, President Tinubu’s ally.

Atiku expresses concern over the lack of transparency in the NNPC’s dealings and the acquisition of OVH by NNPCL, which he describes as a “dubious deal.” He also questions the retention of Mele Kyari as NNPC GMD and the appointment of Pius Akinyelure as NNPC Chairman, citing potential conflicts of interest.

Atiku doubts the credibility of the legislative investigation into the NNPCL, citing the vested interests of those conducting the investigation. He also comments on the litigation surrounding the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project, alleging a close relationship between Tinubu’s son, Seyi, and Gilbert Chagoury, the contractor awarded the project without competitive bidding.
