Nigeria Police Force Appoints New Force Secretary and INTERPOL Head

 

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has announced the appointment of two senior police officers to key positions. AIG Yetunde Longe has been appointed as the Force Secretary, overseeing secretarial functions at the Force Headquarters and ensuring effective implementation of policies and directives. AIG Idowu Owohunwa has been assigned to head the INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB) at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja, enhancing international police cooperation and fulfilling Nigeria’s obligations within the global INTERPOL framework.

The appointments, effective immediately, follow the retirement of their predecessors. The IGP commended the officers for their dedication and service, stating that their new assignments reflect their exceptional abilities and the trust placed in their capabilities.
