Following a controversial survey by CMC Connect LLP, a Lagos-based Strategic Communication firm which revealed that 62% of Nigerians envisage the progress of the country under Tinubu, Nigerians have come out in thier numbers to vehemently oppose this assertion as it doesn’t in the slightest bit represent the true opinions of the citizens.
The poll which claimed to have sampled 1,714 persons across Nigeria’s 6 geo-political zones seeks to find out public perception on how Nigerians feel about Tinubu’s performance as Nigeria’s leader so far.
While many have questioned the study’s methodology, most Nigerians have called it an outright fraud which was cooked up in connivance with APC affiliates to project a faux perception index and portray a positive outlook of the country following Tinubu’s astoundingly terrible & disappointing start as Nigeria’s 001.
Reportera decided to conduct a ‘counter-poll’ to get a true picture of the situation and further evaluate people’s perception. Contrary to the 62% postulated by the Lagos-based firm, only 8% of the 1,342 respondents in the Reportera public poll think that Tinubu is moving the country forward.
An astounding 89% think that Nigeria isn’t progressing under Tinubu, 2% were either undecided or had varying opinions.
Tinubu has spent 9 weeks in Aso Rock during which Nigeria has hit record lows in many areas of the economy including the rapid devaluation of the Naira which now trades at 991/$1 and the cost of PMS which tripled in only his first day in office and is expected to quadruple in the next few weeks.
With the current state of the nation, the future of Nigeria under Tinubu seems really bleak.
