NGE Now A Willing Tool for Kogi Government, Group Flays.

Kogi Patriotic Group has accused the leadership of Nigeria Guild of Editors NGE under Mr Eze Anaba of turning Kogi to a cash cow to achieve their personal interest, rather than preaching good governance and genuine Infrastructural development.

This is at the background of a planned visit by the state government coordinated by Kogi commissioner for information, Mr Kingsley Fanwo.

The group under the chairmanship of Abdul Abdul lamented the position of the Guild of Editors given a pass mark to both the immediate and current administration whose spokesman has been involved in fake news, against political opponents before , during and after the November 11 governorship election.

For a government who was not privy to free , fair and credible election in the last November 11 governorship election, rather than using force and intimidation as well as thuggery to get pass mark from NGE, fell short of expectations.

“We express disappointment on the position of NGE leadership in Kogi that had arrogated their assignment to project monitoring by the state government, particularly in Kogi were project recircling all in the name of remodelling was the other of the day.”

“We don’t know that NGE is now been used as a template to allocate pass mark in all ramifications Instituted by the new leadership under Mr Anaba.”

“We urge the President, Mr Eze Anaba to retrace his step and decision on Kogi affair, after inspecting projects constructed over the years or handled by TETFUND in CUSTECH, after the two term administration of former Governor Yahaya Bello.”

“A state were workers were forced out of their pensionable jobs, yearly salary incremental, leave bonus among many other benefits of workers was denied for eight years, yet you preach good leadership.”
