For administrative convenience of the new office as Jakadan Sokoto in the Sultanate council,13 new title holders has been announced and turbaned.
The announcement of the names and the titles of the new holders was announced by the Jakadan Sokoto,Alhaji Ibrahim Idris during the reception at Grand Ibro Hotel, Sokoto.
The names and the titles are Wazirin Jakada,Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Idris,former PDP Governorship aspirant in Kogi state and also the new Ochada Onu’Ife,Ciroman Jakada is Alhaji Abdullahi Ibrahim Idris,Dan galadiman Jakadan is Alhaji Abdulrasheed idris,Yeriman Jakada is Ibrahim Idris Ibrahim Jnr, while Shatiman Jakada goes to Hassan Wada,former Kogi Governor,Idris Wada’s son.
Others are Matawallen Jakada, Barrister Kabir Usman,a legal luminary and politician of high repute,Walin Jakada goes to Dr Aminu Atabo former Chairman Omala local government,Shamakin Jakada is Alhaji Mohammed Abbas,Sarkin fada Jakada is Malam Musa Umar Kwaifa.
Also Sarki Yakin Jakada goes to Honourable member House of Representatives,Alhaji Ibrahim Shaba, representing Lokoja/Kotonkarfe federal Constituency, Dan iyan Jakada is Hon. Badamasiyu Abdulrahman,former Chairman,Okene local government, Zinariyan Jakada is Ilhan Ibrahim,while Majidadin Jakada is Tanimu Idris.
The new title holders are expected to function in their capacities to assist the Jakadan Sokoto in the running of the day affairs of the council.
In his address,the former Govenor and new Jakadan Sokoto lauded the decision of the Sultanate by considering him worthy of the title.
He promised to guide and abide by the responsibility and demands of the new title,saying he is overwhelmed by the turn out of dignataries at the occassion not minding the distance.
He used the occassion to personally extend his gratitude to former Govenor,Capt Idris Wada for standing by him both day and night.
‘It is very true that we have attended all my installations and turbaning all round the country,and today we are here again,I pray the confidence and love we have for each other is not shaken.’ He said.
