The Director General of the National Taskforce has been praised for his transparent handling of affairs of the agency with regards to employment.
Those who benefitted in separate interview with select journalists expressed surprises that they got employment despite not knowing any godfather as has been the culture in Nigeria.
One, Miss Bisi Bayo who said she is from Oyo State said: “Dr. Baba Mohammed gave us employment and even transport fares. We were three in number that day to collect our letters.
Journalists who were at NATFORCE office to monitor developments on Monday also met two other young men who identified themselves as John Ogohi Audu, and Mohammed Musapha from Mubi in Adamawa State also testified of the magnanimity of the new Director General.
Mustapha Mohammed when asked has this to say: “I thank God that I got this job despite not knowing the DG, Alhaji Baba Mohammed, or anyone else. Though, it’s was pretty difficult seeing him, but in the course of trying to see him, I was asked to submit my Curriculum Vitae which I did and the next time, I was called for interview and screening.
“I was asked to go to Yola office for documentation which the Director General personally offered me money as transport and feeding”, he revealed.
“I can tell you that many others git appointment without knowing anybody here”, he further explained.
In the words of John Ogohi Audu, he said he was subjected to thorough screening by management team.
According to him, they did his background checks and asked if he knows anybody and he replied, he didn’t know anyone.
He confirmed that after the letter of appointment was given to him, he did his documentation immediately and was happy being rescued from the labour market, admitted that the entire exercise is strictly base in merit
