NASC Chairman Bags “ICON OF PUBLIC SERVICE” From Yobe Varsity Students Damaturu.

 

The Executive Chairman of the National Assembly Service Commission, Engr. Ahmed Kadi Amshi was honoured with the prestigious award of “ICON OF PUBLIC SERVICE” on Thursday by the Students Union of the Yobe State University, Damaturu, in recognition of his outstanding leadership quality and distinguished public service.

The president of the Students Union Government (SUG), Mr. Usman Garba Wali who led the students delegation to the National Assembly Service Commission, Abuja, stated that Engr. Amshi was selected for the award on account of his immense contributions in the areas of youth development, outstanding leadership qualities and his service to humanity.

Engr Amshi pointed out that he was receiving the award as a way of encouraging the students to strive for excellence.

He said he had declined similar offers 15 times since assumption of office as Executive Chairman of the Commission; positing that awards should be given towards the end of one’s tenure bearing in mind the person’s scorecards.

He enjoined the students to embrace hard work, sincerity, patience , and all the virtues that would help them succeed in their endeavors.
