NAF Promotes 4 Senior Officers to Air Commodore Rank

 

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has specially promoted four Group Captains to the rank of Air Commodore, bearing one star, in recognition of their exceptional dedication and loyalty. The promoted officers, who will also commence their retirement from the NAF, were decorated with their new ranks by the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, in a ceremony attended by their families.

The promoted officers include:

– Air Commodore Okechukwu Godson Okoye, a Chaplain
– Air Commodore David Ajar Ahmadu, a Chaplain
– Air Commodore Tahir Bin-Isah, an Imam
– Air Commodore John Azubuike Opara, an administration officer

This special promotion, conducted outside the typical promotion timeline, reflects the significant impact these officers have had on the NAF and the organization’s commitment to recognizing and rewarding excellence. The NAF spokesperson, Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, announced the promotion in a statement, highlighting the officers’ exceptional character and professionalism.
