NAF eliminates scores of bandits in series of airstrikes in Zamfara

 

 

Scores of bandits were killed in a series of air strikes by the Nigerian Airforce Component of Operation Hadarin Daji in the early morning of Wednesday, April 10, 2024.

The strikes were conducted in Kani Kawa camp, Birnin Kaya and the camp of Na Eka, in  Bayan Dutsi, in Maradun town, Zamfara State.

It gathered that the bandits in large numbers were moving from a forest in Zamfara State with the intention of attacking villages within the area.

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama, a Counter-Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in the Lake Chad region that the Nigerian Air Force airstrikes, however, engaged and targeted the terrorist group, neutralised on suyanised them while several others sustained various degrees of injuries.

The Aircraft, further chased the fleeing terrorists and eliminated them as they attempted to hide in some hamlet.

The attack targeted the one Baba Alhaji Gwaska Asso but he was not on ground and the time the attack took place.

The Nigerian Military has intensified attacks targeting top leaders of bandits in the North West and the North East of Nigeria. The week-long attacks led to the annihilation of scores of terrorists including top bandits,
