N1,019 PER LITRE: NNPCL Announces New Petroleum Prices Across Nigeria

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) has announced new petrol prices, varying by region, with some areas reaching up to N1,019 per litre. According to NNPC spokesperson Olufemi Soneye, the prices are based on petrol lifted from the Dangote Refinery.

Here is the breakdown of prices by region:

• Borno State: N1,019 per litre
• Abuja, Kano, and Sokoto: approximately N999.22 per litre
• Oyo and Rivers: N960 per litre
• Lagos and surrounding areas: N950 per litre

This announcement has sparked concerns about the impact of varying petrol prices on the economy and citizens across different regions. The NNPC has not provided further explanation for the price disparities. As the situation develops, Nigerians will be watching closely for any additional information or adjustments to the pricing structure.
