All Progressive Congress, APC leading Governorship aspirant has described the recent numerous propaganda making the rounds in some of the online media that he had paid some anonymous person millions of Naira to help facilitate endorsement or support from the National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as ‘a sign of jittery’ by his opponents who he said are afraid of his wide acceptance by the people of Kogi State. Jibrin Usman media team, while responding to the claims on Tuesday dismissed the insinuations describing the allegations as unfounded, frivolous, mischievous and baseless.
The team maintained that rather, his ambition had been enjoying support from party leaders across the country including the party National Leader Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and consolidated by activities of members of the party support groups who he noted are strongly behind his aspiration to reposition Kogi State on the path of development, good governance and progress. JIBRIN further maintains that “Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu has exhibited true leadership in the APC with bundles of experience, good enough for the transformation of Nigeria”. We know those behind the “cheap blackmail and propaganda” and we vow that they can never stop this ambition to rescue and salvage Kogi State.
The media team stressed that the support for Jibrin ambition across the state has increased, which they noted is scaring his opponents. We also maintained that JIBRIN Usman is not disturbed by the political intrigues and controversies that arose ahead of the coming contentious APC Primaries in the state, noting that his ambition is “divine and cannot be truncated by any man”. According to him, “Those behind the report of my been duped or being desperate are those who are already losing sleep over my growing acceptance among Kogi electorates, no amount of cheap blackmail or sponsored falsehood in the media can distract me or derail God’s plan for Kogities through my mandate”.
First they said I have dumped APC and moved to African Democratic Congress(ADC) and that the Governorship has been zoned away from my Local government Area to Idah Local government and now its “Jibrin has been duped, Jibrin and footsoildiers are desperate”. They have all failed because we remain resolute and determined to rescue Kogites free from bondage. He continued, “There is nothing that can be farther from the truth than such report that I have been duped and that my altitude and that of my supporters shows desperation. It is those in the opposition that have been duped and desperate to become Governor.
They are afraid because they know that they don’t stand a chance against the will of God and the people. “We are very focused on the goal and we cannot be distracted. If you observe correctly, you will discover that we are not resting on our oars, we are moving and taking our message to the nooks and crannies of the state, while the so called Opponents are running around in hotels in Abuja looking for ways to subvert the will of the people, they are not on ground in Kogi State and none of them can win any election in Kogi State, Jibrin stated
