Hasken Failat Kogi state,Alhaji Mohammed Shakur Yunusa has sent a message of Congratulations to all Moslems in Nigeria on the commencement of the new Islamic calendar year,Muharam 1442.
A statement personally signed by the moslem cleric prayed for more peaceful co-existence,unity ,progress among Nigerians in the new year.
Alhaji Shakur charge Moslems to observe the importance of the new calender year, which also demonstrate the significance of Muharam as the new islamic Year
He says Muharam in the new Islamic calaender year is tagged ‘forbidden’ for all vices,ranging from killings, kidnappings,stealing,crises, especially in the Northern parts of Nigeria and other parts, inimical to the survival of human race.
The Moslem leader stressed the need for all Moslems to replicate the conduct of the Holy prophet Mohammed and other prophets of God and their men, to observe the 10th of Muharam fasting,as alot of benefits is involved in the supplications.
He prayed for the peaceful co-existence of Moslems and non Moslems in the New year,while appealing to our leaders to consider doing more to the welfare of ordinary Nigerians.
