Igala Vanguard,a socio-political group has carpeted Kogi east Senator,Jibrin Isah over a statement on the floor of the senate, exonerating the killers of PDP Woman Leader in Ofu, Late Hon Mrs Salome Acheju Abu who was burnt to death in his residence at Ochadamu .
The Vanguard in a statement issued by Engineer Lawrence Akpa said for taking this unstatemanly position, the Senator should forget about the politics of kogi east and Kogi state in the next dispensation.
Akpa said he is not surprised that the Senator was supporting the killing of Mrs Salome Acheju Abu, carried out by APC thugs,who obviously was sponsored by the Senator from the area as ‘retalaitory’.
The body alleged that their was a privileged information that top beneficiaries of political and elective position from the three Senatorial zones,led by Kogi east Senator Jibrin Isah, mobilised security agencies and armed thugs to harrass,intimidate and kill innocent supporters of PDP in the last election in the area. .
He said it started with mass arrests and detention of PDP members across the eastern flank, including a retired DCP,Ejeh Suleiman Abutu from his hometown, accused of gun running, detained on the others of the Senator and the state government, to guarantee free access to rigging election from the area .
Engineer Akpa said it is in the public knowledge that voters from his area Odu Ward 11, were all disenfranchised by the actions of the senator that hijacked all the electoral materials from the area,and concentrated armed thugs and compromised security agencies in other parts of Kogi east, to enable the unpopular APC candidate,Yahaya Bello carried the day.
“We are not unaware of how people from his immediate communities of Dekina, Abocho,Ajiolo,Iyale,Anyigba and it’s adjoining villages were been killed to discourage them from voting for PDP in the area during electioneering, sponsored by him,aside going round to buy PVC’s of unsuspecting voters for 5,000.”
Akpa assured Kogi east senator that his connivance against the Igala nation cannot stand the taste of time,as the people of the area,were not responsible for his political logjam,hence he cannot take their pound of flesh in retaliation .
The group warmed Kogi east senator to be mindful of his actions against the Igala nation ,as obviously the election that brought him to the red chamber was marred by violence and mass killing of the people of the area, characterised with electoral fraud to cruise to victory.
He maintained that his inordinate political ambition cannot be realised on the altar of inflicting violence and death on the land,assuring him of the death and burial of his political ambition as far Kogi east is concerned.
Akpa reiterated that senator Jibrin isa’s strong believe and slogan of ‘the end justifies’ geared towards imposing his lackeys and failed sojourn in life,cannot be realised against the connivance to decapitate the Igala nation .
Engineer Akpa asked the Senator to withdraw his killer squad from the area and the state government after the election,so as to allow opposition members live a free life in their various domain
