Mrs Salome Abu Death: Inuwa Iyodo Commends Bodies Over Prompt Reaction,Commiserate With The Victims of Pre,during and Post Election Violence.

A Former Executive Director,Pension Commission (PENCOM),Mr Inuwa Iyodo has lend his voice to the gruesome mother of PDP Woman Leader,Late Mrs Acheju Salome Abu,who was burnt alive in her residence in Ochadamu,deplored the actions of the perpetrators,as well the unabated post election violence rocking Kogi east,saying it is unacceptable and unbecoming of the people of the area .
The former PENCOM Director,expressed his devastation and condemnation against the act and it’s perpetrators,who have obviously showed lack of political maturity and glaring intolerance in the polity .
Iyodo said to avoid recurrence and to serve as deterrent to others,Justice must be done to unravel the assailants, who were already arrested by the Police,warning on the consequences of not parading the culprits by the Police authorities in Kogi .
Mr Inuwa Iyodo addressing Journalist yesterday in Abuja,Commended the efforts of the Women groups both at home and in the diaspora,the Civil Society Organisations (CSO’s), Public spirited individuals, Party leaders and the International communities for roundly condemning the inhuman acts capable of overheating the polity.
He urged President Buhari to match his words with action, by ensuring the ordered investigation into the unfortunate incidence is not tinkered by the Police,saying it is the transparent position of the investigators that will unravel the dastardly acts, as well as pacify the family of the victim of arson,Late Mrs Salome Acheju Abu.
Mr Noah Iyodo commiserate with the victims of pre,during and post election violence in the state, saying the experience of the people of the state was harrowing and capable of truncating the hard won democratic practice in Nigeria since 1999 .
According to Iyodo,Kogi will not take the lead in efforts of some dissidents and anti democratic forces in Kogi, to turn the state into war zone,under the cover of electing a state governor and other representatives of the people,restating that democracy is a game of numbers .
Mr Noah Iyodo commanded the people of the area for standing by the true democratic tenets and their desire to install people’s choice as Kogi governor,stating that all hope is not lost .
He enjoins the electorates to maintain their confidence in the electoral process,as the only way to relieve the society of bad leadership is to install people oriented government through the ballot.
He thanked other stakeholders for not conceding to series of threats and intimidation during and after the election,saying the only legacy that can subsume people’s resistance, is good governance desirable by the people.
