The Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, has commended the Registrar/Chief Executive of NECO for the landmark achievement, but encouraged him to consider procuring boats to enable staff on examinationj duty go about their duties across riverine communities in Bayelsa, Niger, Rivers, Benue, Kebbi and other states that are un-motorable especially during rainy season unhindered
The Registrar/Chief Executive of National Examinations Council (NECO), Prof. Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, said he has within two and half years in office repositioned the examination body with a view to making it more responsive to meeting global standards.
The minister spoke at the commissioning of 70 examination logistics vehicles, NECO Drivers Pool, Senior Secondary classroom block, Data Centre and NECO Scanning Centre in Minna, Niger State capital on Saturday.
The minister, who spoke through the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Andrew Adejoh, said the examination body had witnessed tremendous growth and commended Prof. Wushishi for the giant stride which he said earned NECO both national and international accolades.
