Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, on Thursday, held a closed-door meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Fubara, who arrived at the Villa around 5.35 pm, left over an hour later.
He refused to disclose the purpose of his visit to journalists.
When pressed for comments, the governor simply said it was a private visit.
Thursday’s meeting came weeks after the governor met the President alongside his estranged political godfather and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
Although the agenda of his visit was not made public at the time of filing this report, it might not be unconnected with the political crisis between the governor and the FCT minister.
