Manchester United had a quiet window by their own standards last summer. The likes of Donny van de Beek, Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles, Amad Diallo and Facundo Pellistri came in but their was the lack of a superstar signing that you normally associate with the Red Devils.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has shown that he has the ability to take this club to the next level. They are competing for the Premier League title this season and despite not winning a trophy under the Norwegian manager, they have always had decent runs in cup competitions as always.
Thus, it looks like Ed Woodward is ready to back him next summer and get him a superstar. That man could be Erling Haaland.
Haaland could be a huge hit at Manchester United
Haaland has a clause in his Borussia Dortmund contract where a £63 million release clause will get activated in the summer of 2022. Naturally, there won’t be a lack of suitors when that happens.
Unfortunately, his agent Mino Raiola does not seem too keen on having Haaland join the Red Devils, especially after Paul Pogba’s time at Old Trafford has gone. This has resulted in the super agent’s relationship with the club deteriorating as well, which will make any future moves for players he represents, extremely difficult.
They will have some stiff competition for the signature of the striker as well, with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City reportedly interested in bringing him to the Premier League as well.
