Major Political Shift in Adamawa as Former APC Campaign Director Joins PDP Ahead of 2027 Elections

In a powerful political realignment in Adamawa State, Hon. Salihu Baba Ahmed, the former Director General of Senator Aishatu Binani’s campaign during the 2023 governorship election, has officially defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Ahmed was welcomed into the PDP by the Chairman of Limawa Ward, Hon. Sani Hassan (popularly known as Sani Aroke), during a reception held on Saturday, October 26, 2024.

As a prominent grassroots politician in Adamawa, Ahmed’s shift is expected to have considerable implications for the political landscape in the state as the 2027 elections approach. His move reflects growing discontent within the APC and could signal a shift in support among party loyalists in the region.

Political analysts are keenly observing this development, as it may influence voter sentiment and party dynamics leading up to the next election cycle.
