Liverpool have turned down an approach from Roma for midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri, according to the Daily Express.
The Swiss winger has fallen down the pecking order at Anfield, making just 10 appearances this season, and Takumi Minamino’s arrival from Red Bull Salzburg could convince the 27-year-old his future lies elsewhere, with Roma interested in a permanent deal.
But the report claims Jurgen Klopp is reluctant to let players leave in the January transfer window and the Giallorossi may be forced to look elsewhere after seeing their enquiry rebuffed.
