In a bid to ensure the successful implementation of the “Light Up Kogi Central Project,” the Ebira group has called upon communities in the Ebira kingdoms to actively protect the solar electricity initiative. The project, which is being spearheaded by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has been deemed a federal government project for the people of Kogi Central.
Mallam Ibrahim Omeiza, the spokesperson for the Ebira Renaissance group, emphasized that the electricity project should not be regarded as the personal property of Senator Natasha or the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Instead, it should be recognized as the right of the Ebira people, which has been attracted to Kogi Central through the efforts of Senator Uduaghan.
The group has urged community leaders, as well as Muslim and Christian groups, to rally together and safeguard this crucial electricity project. They believe that the project will not only provide much-needed electricity to the area but also serve as a catalyst for further development in Kogi Central.
It is important to note that personal opinions about Senator Natasha or the PDP should not overshadow the significance of the ongoing “Light Up Kogi Central Project.” The project’s potential positive impact on the community should be prioritized, and protecting and supporting it is in the best interest of all residents.
