Landlord Locks NEPA Office in Port Harcourt Over Rent

 

The office of the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution company in Ogbumnabali in Port Harcourt, Rivers State was on Thursday closed by the landlord over unpaid rent.

A social media user, Stephen Momoh shared photos of the closure, showing the landlord sitting in front of the red padlocked door.

Another photo showed a staff member attending to PHED customers in a car.

When PUNCH Online reached out to the spokesperson for PHED, Chioma Aninwe, she said a communication gap led to the incident.

In a text message to our correspondent, she said, “It was a communication gap. It has been sorted and business is ongoing there.”
