Lagos state police command says it has arraigned popular artiste and songwriter, Azeez Adesina Fashola professionally known as Naira Marley before the Lagos state special offences (mobile) court, Oshodi Thursday for violating the cessation of movement and interstate travel in Lagos.
Naira Marley had on 13th July 2020 embarked on a non-essential travel from Lagos to Abuja and back through the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Ikeja for a musical concert in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The artiste was arraigned alongside his manager, Seyi Awouga on a one-count charge for violating section 4(1) of the Lagos state infectious disease emergency regulation no. 2 of 2000, punishable under section 58, public health laws of Lagos state 2015.
Both accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charge and were fined one hundred thousand naira each by the presiding magistrate.
