Labour Party Crisis: Aisha Yesufu Labels Abure ‘Liar, Shameless’ Over Alleged Mismanagement Of Labour Party Funds During 2023 Elections

A war of words has erupted within the Labour Party as Aisha Yesufu, chairman of the campaign fundraising team, has accused Labour Party Chairman, Abure, of lying and being shameless regarding the alleged mismanagement of funds during the 2023 elections.

Abure had denied allegations of embezzlement, stating that he had no direct access to or involvement with the campaign funds. However, Yesufu countered his claims, calling him “very shameless” for denying payment to polling unit agents.

Yesufu questioned the use of millions raised from ticket sales and challenged Abure to account for the ‘Labour Party N1,000 Challenge’ donations.

The dispute follows Yesufu’s announcement of N596 million received from supporters and Obidient movements, with Obi spending N744,500,000 on litigation after his presidential election loss.

The controversy highlights tensions within the Labour Party regarding campaign finance and transparency.
