The Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and members of Kwara State Parliament have turned the ravaging scourge into a vote and support canvassing exercise as donations of a paltry sum of N500, four tins of rice and sanitizers are limited to APC members. Non-party members were asked to go and join APC if they hope to get anything from the government.
The APC Ward Chairmen in all the constituencies, according to information availed this platform have been directed to enforce these directives to donate only to party members. To collect the N500, four tins of rice and a sanitizer, a recipient must provide a membership card of the ruling party, APC.
The worse hit areas are Kayima L.G.A where the people’s major source of livelihood has been halted. Kagima LGA is popular for farming yam and it has become a huge yam hub for other neighbouring states.
