Members of All Progressives Congress (APC) Northern areas have demanded for the sack of the Minister of Information and Culture ,Mr Lai Mohammed immediately for creating cracks , fuelling crisis and division in the party in Kwara State .

The Northern APC Members in statement signed by Chairman of the group , Alh Haruna Adamu Ahmadu and made available to Journalists today in Kaduna said for Lai Mohammed to organise a fresh registration/revalidation of members in Kwara State is an overt attempt to divide the party and create serious crack.

The statement further reads : ” His threat that the upcoming nationwide congress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will not take place in Kwara State until all members of the party in the state are registered and validated is apparently dangerous and unacceptable .
“We gathered that Lai Mohammed, who made the threats at the unveiling/launch of a parallel secretariat of the APC in Ilorin, the state capital said the recently concluded registration exercise conducted for members in the state was not genuine in that it did not capture every member of the party.

“It is obvious that his anti-party posture is allowed to go unchallenged coupled with unprovoked recent attacks on Kwara State Governor, Alh. Abdullahi Abdulrazaq in public ceremonies even when he could access the Governor and resolve whatever grievances .
“Against this background ,it is imperative in the interest of unity and Progress of the party for President Mahammadu Buhari to immediately sack Lai Mohammed as Minister of Information and Culture .
“We can’t continue to watch such an important founding member of APC create unnecessary division and disharmony in party , especially in Kwara State ,where the APC Governor is working assiduously to promote the party via his people oriented development strides “.
“However, we want to the public that we have commenced a mobilisation strategy for the sack of Lai Mohammed before destroy the achievements of APC in Kwara State.”
