The decision of the new Ag VC,Kogi State University, Professor Marietu Ohunene Tenuche to relieve all principal officers of the institution is outside her mandate of her new roles, and unbecoming of his status.
Kogi Patriotic Group has accused the new helms woman of going beyond the boundaries of her new appointement.
A statement issued by Abdul Abdul observed that ethnic card is already at play with her decision,saying the VC, whether acting or substantive has no administrative rights to remove these officers, outside the input of the governing council of the institution.
Aside disregarding the Senate and the governing council of the institution,it is an abberation to take such decisions in Ag capacity,saying the VC for now has no right to hire and fire.
He urged the Ag VC to reverse her decision immediately and stop taking instructions from Goverrment House lokoja, by palnning to install their stooges.
Abdul warned on plans by the new Ag VC to set a dangerous precedence in collaboration with the state government,saying the imposition of the late Bursar of the institution without due process is still fresh
The group urged the dissolve officers not to take laws into their hands,but followed the due process as obtained in the status that established the institution.
They described the new Ag VC as a tribal and sectional czar,saying any attempt to confirm her appointment will be the worst that will happen to the revered institution.
