Kogi Patriotic Group has warned President Mohammadu Buhari not to allow kogi governor,Alhaji Yahaya Bello influence his return to the state through re-election on the platform of APC, as the next governor,as democratic environment is now turned to war front, in the state because of his desperate tendencies to return to kogi
Abdul Abdul said the warning became neccessary in view of subtle moves by the governor to the President; to detonate growing opposition against his candidature, owing to poor leadeship qualities and maladministration in the state in the last three years
He said the visit is unnecessary to disabuse the APC members from a level playing ground and internal democracy to flourish, so as to produce the best candidate that will mitigate the poor leadership qualities in the last three years
Abdul said it is already in the public domain for the President’s consumption, that governor Yahaya Bello can not win the re-election in November, if availed the APC ticket,as the best option is to search within the other contestants who is fit to move kogi from the doldrums of bad leadership
He said even though President Buhari cannot feign knowledge of how the last election was characterised with armed thugs, sponsored by kogi state government,killings and maiming innocent citizens,alot of the electorates were defranchised and prevented by top governmemt officials, armed to the teeth including local government administrators,special advisers,commissioners and senior special assistants to the governor with unliencenced AK47 and Pump action guns
He said the President should allow the party to decide what is best for the state under APC ,rather than falling under the pretext of “good boy”,without inhuman intention to administer the state for over three years
“Under the governor,alot of social,economic and political values hitherto cherished in the state has collapsed through deliberate efforts to perpetrate his government in the next four years, without plans to move the state forward “
“The type of political sham carried out by the present administration under the guise of winning all the election,if Bello is allowed to fly the APC ticket,will turn to civil war if care is not taken, particularly his desire to return to kogi state at all costs possible “
He said the governor is recruiting more dangerous thugs and fake uniform men having experimented it in the last election and determined to eliminate anybody that come his way, to distort his electoral victory
“It will be in the best interest of the people of kogi to allow internal and opposition party’s to have a level playing ground for the November election, instead of the state sponsored armed build up to put the armless electorates in perpetual danger”
