Kogi Youths Demand Unconditional Release of Ademu

A sociopolitical interest group, Kogi Youth Roundtable (KYRT) has called for the immediate release of Comrade Aminu Ademu arrested by detectives of Department of State Services (DSS)
In a press statement signed by KYRT National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Jerry Ochada, it requested DSS to spell out the crimes of Ademu or grant him unconditional bail by respecting his right to fair hearing.
Part of the statement reads:
“It is disheartening to note that Comrade Aminu Ademu is still in detention 48 hours after suffering unlawful arrest. As a group, we waited patiently, believing DSS is proactive and professional to do the needful by charging our brother in the struggle of good governance to court or spell his crimes.
“We call on DSS to grant Aminu Ademu unconditional bail or tell the world reasons behind his continued detention. Detaining any individual beyond 24 hours is against the terms of fundamental human rights,” it concluded.
Ademu was arrested Thursday 26th August, 2020 at Abacha road, Nasarawa state for undisclosed reasons and has remained in detention.
