Kogi Varsity Vice Chancellor Commends National Productivity Centre Over Donation Of Computers.

Vice Chancellor,Kogi State University Anyigba,Prof Marietu OhuneneTenuche has commended the National Productivity Centre NPC for bridging the dearth of Information and communication technology ICT through donation of 20 HP laptops computers to the Institution.

The Vice- Chancellor made the assertion at the council chamber of the institution during the presentation of the items to the management of the university.

She noted that the quick response of the NPC under the leadership of Dr. Kashim Akor will not only revitalize the digital center of the Institution,but stabilise ICT development in the Ivory tower.

Professor Tenuche maintained the need to support tertiary Institutions in the area of digital development and advancement in line with the new order.

She thanked the management of National Productivity Centre lead by Dr Kashim Akor for considering Kogi State University, Anyigba as part of their targeted high institution in the ongoing ICT program across the country,stating that more assistance will be needed in other areas.

“We have been facing so many challenges on how to equip the university computer centre to sustain the digital center,but some of our items are already obsolete and in bad shape.” She said.

Earlier,the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, academic of the University,Dr Daniel Atidoga expressed gratitude to to the NPC for their prompt response on the need for their interventions in the Institution.

“I was in Abuja officially to interface with the DG NPC Dr Kashim Akor on the need to extend their programs in all areas to the Institution,though he expressed reservation for this year 2021,yet he was able to carry out this donation of computers..”

He also expressed delight on the positive response,calling on the state and federal agencies to contribute their own quota to the developement of the University.

Dr Atidoga stressed the need for constant support both from the public and private sector,as such support will be an extension of social services.
