Kogi :Tribunal Commences Inspection Of Election Materials,As FHC Lokoja Dismisses APC Motion

 

Kogi state Governorship election petition tribunal sitting in Abuja has instructed parties in the suite to within one week conclude the inspection of the election materials held on November 16,inspite efforts by the lawyers of both respondents in the matter to frustrate the move.

The tribunal chairman gave the warning at the sitting of the tribunal warning on parties efforts to bring needless delay into the issue brought before the judges for determination by the appellant.

He further warned of efforts by the respondents in the matter to introduce overflogged issue to procure more time, will be ruled against in the ongoing suite.

He made particular reference to the efforts to smuggle in some portions of the pre-election matters determined by Justice Okorowa of the FHC Lokoja to digress from the real issue boardering on electoral fraud brought before the tribunal .

The tribunal refused the 2nd respondent from introducing some fresh documents brought before the Lord Justice of the FHC,by ruling in favour of Engineer Musa Wada.

On the whole two pending motions to stall proceedings of the tribunal was turned down by the judges, insisting that statusquo must be maintained to ensure smooth hearing .
