Kogi Tribunal: CBN Witness Acquitted Due To Lack of Evidence; Ododo remains Silent On Alleged Forged Certificate.

by

During today’s session at the Kogi State Governorship election tribunal in Abuja, the witness for the 2nd respondent, Alh Usman Ahmed Ododo from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), was discharged by the tribunal due to insufficient evidence.

The witness, claiming to represent the CBN, failed to substantiate his claims with any factual evidence or identification. Despite being summoned to testify, he did not swear an oath or provide any form of identification, casting doubt on his credibility. Consequently, the tribunal permitted him to submit his documents and depart.

As a result, Usman Ododo concluded his defense without addressing the allegations of a forged certificate.

The proceedings have been adjourned until April 25th, 2024, for the All Progressive Congress (APC) to commence their defense.
