After many months of intra party wranglings,crises,iinsults and mudslingings between the APC National Woman Leader,Hajiya Salamatu Baiwa, his brother, Hassan Abdullahi,a federal lawmaker on one side,and the state governor Yahaya Bello on the other side,it appears the two have succumbed and throw their weight behind the re-election of the failed administration of the current governor
This truce may have been occasioned by the last Monday judgement of the tribunal that nullified the election of the federal lawmaker representing Dekina /Bassa in the lower house
This is a clear indication that the state governor has overpowered the two party stalwart from kogi east,after the governor has held them to the jugular, to influence the nullification of the election
Kogi governor and his aides had threatened the federal lawmaker,her sister for confronting the state governor soon after his election to the federal house of representatives
It became worse after his several attempt from both end to scuttle the return of the governor for a second term as kogi governor and the belated ambition to run with Yahaya Bello by the federal lawmaker
The relationship went sour between the federal lawmaker and the National Woman Leader have boycotted all programs of the state government and activities in the last one year
The moves for the truce became glaring as ardent supporters of the Baiwas and arch enemies of the state government, woke up today and began floating pro- Bello messages across the social media with strong resistance from kogites and the people of Kogi east
The two duo who hailed from kogi east and Dekina local government area have succumbed to the continuous maladministration and misgovernance against the people of the area and kogi state
With this development ,it is more glaring that the persistent crises between the Kogi governor and the two family members was for personal interest using the large people of Kogi east as a cover to achieve their selfish interest
The NWL and his brother who was the former deputy speaker,Kogi House of Assembly, rose against the interest of the people by importing thugs in conjunction with the state government, with arms and ammunitions that precluded eligible voters from the area from exercising their franchise in the last election .
As a demonstration of total commitment to Bello project, the pressure group known as TEAM BAIWA that promotes Baiwa political interest has already hit the ground running with a post from one of them on facebook account calling for second term for governor Yahaya Bello.
