… His arrest is not political, but for criminal reasons – Police
Abdul Momoh aka Madigba, a staunch member of the All Progressives Congress, has been arrested by men of the Nigerian Police.
An unconfirmed source, alleged that Madgba is behind the attacks of members of the Peoples Democratic Party in Dekina LGA.
The source alleged that Madigba is the thug leader of the APC in Kogi East and leader of the produce in Kogi East, said his men last week disrupted Hon. Ben Ikani Okolo’s campaign in Iyale and Ikpakpala in Dekina local government where cars were burnt and chairs scattered at the venue.
The source equally alleged that Madigba was also behind the disruption of the PDP rally in Abocho where several, party supporters mostly women and children’s were injured.
But speaking to the Police Public Relation Officer, Williams Aya, he said the arrest of Madigba is not connected to politics, said he was alleged to have broken into a shop, carted away properties, asked the complainant not to complain. Mr Aya confirmed that the matter has been transferred to Lokoja and said investigation is currently on going while he remains in custody.
