Kogi PDP:Fact Finding Committee insists Abubakar Abu Ibro wasn’t suspended but expelled from the party

The Kogi State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Executive Council members
met yesterday at the Party Secretariat to, among other things, discuss the report of the Fact Finding Committee on the activities of Alhaji Abubakar Abu Ibro with regard to his legal actions challenging the outcome of the primary election conducted by the party which produced Engr. Musa Wada as the party’s candidate in the November 2019 gubernatorial election.

In a unanimous decision, the party decided to safe-keep the report in view since the said Abubarkar Abu Ibro is already expelled from the party based on the report and decision of his Ward, OBSERVERS TIMES learnt.

The party urged all PDP members and sympathisers to keep hope alive on the judiciary while the tribunal judgement is being pursued at the Appeal Court.

The party executive also noted that discussing Abubakar Abu Ibro who is no longer a member of the party at this stage is a complete distraction in view of the upcoming Council elections in the State, the committee insisted that there was a breached of trust between the committee and Abubakar Ibrahim Idris Ibro, who went to Supreme Court despite strong agreements between the erstwhile candidate and the party disciplinary committee headed by Hon Sam Abenemi, a source within the party who spoke with OBSERVERS TIMES on condition of anonymity said “ Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Idris told the committee that he will accept and abide by the Appeal court ruling, the agreement that he reneged claiming he is under pressure from outside and we are yet to know the outsider that Abu Ibro is working for” the committee member insisted.

The Local Government party Chairman, Jerry Omada confirmed that he is unaware of any lift of suspension of Abubakar Abu Ibro who is confirmed by his Ward to have been outrightly expelled from the party.
