Leaders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) from Dekina Local Government today, June 6, 2020 visited the party’s candidate in the 2019 governorship election, Engr. Musa Wada, to assure him of their support in the current legal challenges in a quest to retrieve the stolen mandate.
The leaders of the party were lead by Chief John Odawn, and Alhaji Momo Pele (Party Zonal Chairman for Kogi East) in company of Hon. Alhassan Ibrahim Ejine, Ambasador Ocheni, Hon. Peter Aduku, Hon. Odoh Akowe, Hon. Achor Christopher and others. The leaders assured Engr. Musa Wada of their ernest prayers across religious divides; assuring the party candidate of victory at the end.
The Dekina Divisional Chairman, Hon. Husseini Ibrahim stated that supporters across the region are encouraged by Engr. Musa Wada’s relentless efforts in ensuring that justice is done. In the same vein, the Zonal Chairman, Momoh Pele congratulated Engr. Musa Wada for the various court victories since the battle to regain the stolen mandate began.
The Chairman of the PDP Ward Forum for Dekina Local Government, Hon. Amidu Isah (Anyigba Ward) stated that the visit was to demostrate their unalloyed support and unwavering commitment to ensure that the freely given mandate of the people of Kogi State is recovered.
Reacting to this development, the Party’s candidate and Governor-to-be, Engr. Musa Wada said that he was overwhelmingly voted by the good people of Kogi State, unfortunately the mandate is being delayed by the various court cases. He assured the leaders of victory at the end, stating that “He is in this battle to rescue the people of Kogi State and restore the dignity of the State to the part of development and economic sustainability”.
Engr. Musa Wada who was in very high spirit said, he was encouraged by the visit from his own kinsmen, lamenting that Bello was imposed on the people of Kogi State despite massive failure recorded in the last four years as governor. He further insisted that Bello’s failure is instrumental to the pain and anguish of the people of Kogi State.
Engr. Musa Wada assured the visitors that he will pursue the case to its logical conclusion, stating that those funding the various cases aimed at disqualifying him at all cost should bury their heads in shame. Engr. Musa Wada also disclosed that the crisis in PDP over the authenticity of the winner of the PDP governorship primary that is currently in the Supreme Court is part of the design by some compromised leaders of the party to frustrate him.
Explaining his political ordeal, Wada said that the frivolous tribunal ruling was a distraction, disclosing that he has a good case and enough evidence to oust Bello from Lugard House.
He therefore, urged all Kogites to remain steadfast and keep hope alive as victory is at hand.
