Kogi PDP Inaugurates Presidential Campaign Council With Former Gov. Ibrahim Idris as Chairman. Yomi Awoniyi as DG Campaign

The Kogi State Chapter of the people’s Democratic party has inaugurated its Presidential Campaign Council with former Governor Ibrahim Idris appointed to serve as the chairman of the State committee.

Mr Yomi Awoniyi, a former Deputy Governor of Kogi state was similarly appointed as Director General of the People’s Democratic Party‘s Presidential campaign Council and former Party‘s chairman, Alh. Hassan Salau is the Secretary of the Campaign council.

The State Chairman of the party, Mr. Samuel Ohuotu who inaugurated the campaign council said it was in consonance with the party‘s far reaching decision to mobilize electorates using the formidable party‘s structures formed to market the presidential candidate and all other candidates of the party ahead of next year’s elections.

He also named and inaugurated the twenty one local government areas coordinators that would further inaugurate the unit levels in the twenty one local government areas of the state.

Former Governor Ibrahim Idris and the State Chairman of the People’s Democratic party Presidential campaign council urged the appointees, core stakeholders and supporters to close ranks to enable the party and its candidates win with ease the February 2023 elections.

Speaking also, the DG campaign council and former deputy Governor of the state, Mr.Yomi Awoniyi called on the inaugurated members and party‘s supporters and stakeholders to work towards delivering the state for the party.

In his brief remark, former Governor of the state, Capt Idris Wada urged appointees and supporters to bury their hatchets and do everything humanly possible to liberate the state from the poor leadership of the All Progressives congress government to enable the party win overwhelming in the state.

The epoch making ceremony was graced by prominent party leaders like Prince Shola Akomode former deputy Chief of staff to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Chief Abiodun Ojo, All the party‘s candidates from State Assembly, House of Representatives and Senate, Alh. Abubakar Idris, and several other party‘s bigwigs.
