Kogi PDP: I Went To APC To Help Ebira Achieve Governorship Ambition, I Am Back To The Home I Built, Dr. Philip Salawu Back To PDP

His Excellency Dr. Philip Salawu Omeiza the former deputy governor of Kogi state is back to the People Democratic Party (PDP).

The members of the people Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi Central turned out massively to welcome him back to the party.

Salawu once served as a two-term deputy under H.E Alh. Ibrahim Idris between 2012 and 2013 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which he once served as its first national director of finance, and Board of Trustees member.
He was to later resign from the position to join the LP, and ran on its platform during the 2015 governorship election and after 2015general election he defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In his speech at the welcome back ceremony organized by the People Democratic Party (PDP) members in Kogi Central, Dr. Philip Salau Omeiza told the general public that he is back to the home he built and he will make sure he work relentlessly for the party’s success.

He briefly explaining the reason why he defected to the APC for “the singular reason that it is in APC that we now have an Ebira Governor of Kogi state,  in the person of His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello.” and now that Ebira people has achieves that he is back to the PDP the home he built.

Among the party leaders that welcome him back to the party are Distinguish Senator Ahmed Ogembe through Hon. Ibrahim Adabara, the newly elected party chairman of Okene Local government PDP, Hon. A.K Salihu, Hon. Sanni Salau Ogembe through Hon. Abdullahi Organiser and host of others.

Distinguish Sen. Ahmed Ogembe task the former deputy governor to re-unite all the aggrieved members of the party across the state in other to achieve better goals in the next election.
