Following the decision of Anyigba ward of the Peoples Democratic Party to endorse a consensus arrangement, the leaders of the party from Dekina Local Area led by the former Governor of the state, Capt Idris Wada today threw their weight behind the aspiration of Alhaji Hussini Ibrahim Ejini, the incumbent Party Chiaman.
The meeting was a followed up to stakeholders meeting that was held in Egume where it was previously resolved to endorsed his candidature as party consensus candidate ahead of the October party Congress stating the position of the leaders is for the peace and unity of the party.
In attendance was Kogi state former Governor, Capt Idris Wada, the Peoples Democratic Party flag bearer in the last gubernatorial election, Engr Musa Wada, Alhaji Mikail Isah ,Dr. Mohammed Shaibu Tettes, Sen. Nicholas Yahaya Ugbane, Hon Emmanuel Omebije , Hon Benjamin Ikani Okolo, Comr. Usman Okai Austin, Halilu Aliu, the party zonal chairman, Alhaji Mamman Pele, and Mallam Khalid.
The party bigwigs in Dekina local government made this unanimous decision after extensive consultations with stakeholders at the ward level. Overall, the decision was made so as to avoid uncertainty as the party prepares for the state congress and also to ensure the continuous stability of the party.
