Evidence has emerged that the member Representing Ajaokuta State Constituency who doubles as the Majority Leader of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Hassan Bello Belogun has beaten up one Mr Aliyu Salihu, one of the Kogi State Government House drivers to stupor at a slighted provocation yesterday at the UBA old STB branch, Lokoja.

This was unconnected with an earlier augment that ensued between the lawmaker’s policeman and the driver at the Government House.

The policeman who was seeing to be very angry had the opportunity to take on the oldman, an encounter that nearly take the life of Mr Aliyu Salihu just because of a mere misunderstanding between them.

The anomalous lawmaker who is supposed to mediate between his policeman and the oldman decided to join forces with his police to maltreated, molested, intimidated and harassed  the elderly man.

One of the eye witnesses who does not want his name in print described the behavior exhibited by the lawmaker in the public as barbaric, uncivilized and uncalled for from a supposed personality that occupies an exotic office in the legislative arm of the Government in the State.

Many of the passerby who are not new to the character exhibited by the lawmaker narrated how he used to fight in club houses, shopping mall and other public places without any restrictions.

As at the time of filing in this report the oldman has been taking to an unclosed hospital for medical attention, efforts to get the lawmaker to hear his own side prove abortive .

Meanwhile, some political analyst has called on the leadership of the Kogi State House of Assembly and Governor Yahaya Bello to call the lawmaker to order as his behavior did not portrait the state well.

According to them, It is inhuman for the lawmaker to have allowed his police officer to moless and maltreat the oldman by beaten him up, an elderly man that is old enough to be his father without any respect and regards to his safety in this period of the Covid 19 that the whole is battling with.
