Barely six days after a Army Captain, GSM Abubakar, was gruesomely murdered by suspected kidnappers along Lokoja- Okene highway , suspected gunmen have killed two naval officers, a male and female, again in Kogi state.
You could recalled that Captain GSM Abubakar was killed by suspected kidnappers on the highway in Kogi State while his mother, wife and children were abducted by the gunmen.
The whereabouts of the late Army officer’s mother , wife and children are unknown as at the time of filing this report .
Abubakar who was attached to 353 Atillery Ojo cantoment was going for his official decoration following his new promotion when the incident happened on Sunday .
Others who were on convoy with him move to escaped the attack. Meanwhile efforts ongoing by security men rescue the victims and apprehend the perpetrators while the corpse has been deposited at FMC morgue.
OBSERVERS TIMES earlier two persons, including a naval officer, were on Thursday shot dead by unknown gunmen on Okene -Lokoja road in Kogi State.
The state Commissioner of Police, Mr Ayuba Ede, confirmed this to newsmen in Lokoja, saying that the incident occurred around 6p.m.
According to him, the officer, a man and a woman were travelling in a Toyota Sienna car when they were shot by yet to be identified gunmen.
He said that the naval officer was in uniform while the woman was in mufti.
