The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leading governorship aspirant, former governor, Capt. Idris Wada’s dream for the ticket of the party has received a major boost.
Capt. Wada, in Lokoja today, received former ranking Senator, Nicholas Yahaya Ugbane, who collapsed his governorship structure into his own.
Senator Ugbane, who said he would give Wada maximum support for the PDP governorship ticket, stressed that the former Governor’s credentials vis a vis those of other aspirants are unrivalled.
He said he would ask his team members, who are scattered in the three senatorial districts of the state to vote for Capt. Wada, on September 3.
The senator, who was also a front runner in the governorship race, before he stepped down his aspiration, stated that the former governor has the requisite experience to clean the mess created by the current administration.
Reacting, Capt. Wada thanked the senator for the declaration of support, saying that well-meaning party members should form a united front, to dislodge the current administration.
He pointed out that all hands should be on deck to ensure that a credible flag bearer emerges during the PDP primary election.
