A PDP stalwart and former governorship aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party, Hon Zakari Alfa has extended his congratulations to the winner of the just concluded gubernatorial primaries held in kogi state, Engr Musa who was declared winner of the exercise in a keenly contested election. He gave this indication while responding to questions from a group of Journalists who visited him in his private residence in Abuja to seek his opinion on the development as one of the respected leaders of the party and what should be done to strengthen the party to achieve success in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.
In a statement signed by Suleiaman Alhassan, Alfa appreciated the effort of the delegates who stood late in the night to exercise their responsibility which led to the emergence of this great personality,in the person of Engr Musa Wada whom he described as a consummate professional and a technocrat per excellence endowed with the right leadership qualities to salvage the people from the shackles of poverty,oppression and dehumanisation currently plaguing us as a people and have thrown the state into a seemingly irrecoverable retrogression which depicts a state on the keg of a gun powder awaiting disastrous explosion. But this can be averted if we collectively agree to change the situation for the better by installing a credible and responsive leadership that toes the path of humanity and providing solutions to our immediate challenges.
On the strength of the party to wrestle with the APC, he simply asked the journalists to make an objective comparative analysis of the antecedents of the two political parties to ascertain the level of development recorded in the respective order. I am confident that the PDP will unseat the present leadership in the state and with a builder like Engr Musa Wada on board if elected, the state will be better placed for greater prosperity. He urged the party members to remain resolutely resilient and determined to work as a team if we must achieve success in the next gubernatorial election in the state. We are all not unaware of a certain self styled Lord in Lugard house who has performed below expectations and about to be rejected by the people but becoming too desperate for a return. He pledged his support and loyalty to the party and has by this, directed his supporters across board to respect the position of the delegates and support Engr Musa Wada in the next gubernatorial election in the state.
