The Accord Party’s (AP) governorship candidate, Admiral Jibrin Usman, visited elderly statesmen of Kogi East extraction yesterday ahead of the November 11th governorship election in Kogi State.
The meeting, which lasted for several hours, witnessed the attendance of Engr. Musa Wada, the former People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Bar Kebiru Usman, Alhaji Abdullahi Haruna SAN, and Bar Reuben Attaboh SAN.
The governorship candidate who spoke during the meeting expressed satisfaction in the meeting, adding that the task ahead cannot be undertaken by only him as he therefore solicits the support and encouragement of the statesmen.
While addressing the Entourage, Engr. Musa was quoted as saying, “I’m pleased to welcome you here today; we understand your recent struggles in the development of Kogi State and Igala Land”. . I’m particularly glad that you’re a front-runner in this election, and I’m confident you’ll come out victorious, being the most qualified of all the candidates paraded.
We know how desperate the state is in search of capable hands like yours to liberate it from the shackles of bastardized rulership. Engr. Musa Wada added
Barrister Kebiru Usman who also spoke during the meeting, acknowledged the dogged strides of the former Chief of Naval Staff and acknowledged the establishment of numerous naval institutions in Kogi State. He said, “This is not the time to fake the truth; it’s time to be ruthless and decisive, as we’re now at the crossroads of our liberation from the Bello-led administration.
I know you’ll do us proud by being the best hand for the job. I’m solidly behind you, and I will offer my best to make sure we perfectly execute this.
Alh. Abdullahi Haruna, who spoke at the event, was also quoted as saying, ” I know your capacity and capabilities.” It’s good you’re here, and that validates the good testimony many are sharing about you.
I’m confident you’ll replicate what you did during your days as the Chief of Naval Staff by transforming the state into the best in the land. So, you have my support on this project.
Another speaker at the occasion was Bar Reuben Attaboh, who heaped praise on the Accord Party. Governorship candidate for prioritizing Igala Kingdom and her citizens throughout his naval volition, adding that his ideas and effective service delivery will help propel the state to greatness.
