Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State,Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state are been queried to show course while disciplinary action will not be taken against them, on the premise of coming to Kogi to endorse Yahaya Bello for a second term
Four other governors, whose Bello’s endorsement was mooted back out lately, after the signal of uncomfortable stance from the party leadership
The premise of top party echelon confirmed that in the history of democratic practice in Nigeria,no state governor had engaged in such a charade all in the name of arrogating party ticket to the incumbent or governorship aspirants
The latest endorsement was carried out by the two serving governors, so as not to give the notion of a failed mission, after a carefully planned arrangements between the serving governors
Insider sources revealed, that piqued by the turn of event,Kogi governor and his COS had abandoned official engagements in the last 48 hours,with the unpalatable signal to return to kogi under APC ticket
Governor Yahaya Bello had given a standing order not to entertain any vistor in the last 24 hours,a sign of dejection,dissatisfaction and depression from the impending party decisions
Another sources confirmed that the top party leadership have ressolved not to allow kogi governor access to the APC ticket, for the forthcoming party primaries,hence his distraught
Governor Yahaya Bello is reported to have made frantic efforts to reach to Presidency in a private capacity to no avail,as the power that be, is no longer interested in his ambition
The Presidency had confided in some of his loyalists, of their dissapointement from the style of leadership of the governor in the State,that has almost affected the Image of President Buhari
Meanwhile,the quest for replacement is keenly on the rise,with the idea of wanting to compensate Late Audu Abubakar’s family or any other candidate of proven integrity
It became worrisome that other sources confirmed the preference of former Governor Idris Wada, returnig to the leadership of the state under PDP, to mitigate the political miscalculations at the federal level
