Kogi Democratic Group has lend it’s voice to the plans by the state government in connivance with Kogi Resident Electoral Commissioner,Professor Apam,INEC National Commissioner,Amina Zakari and her entrourage that kogi will not be business as usual like Ekiti,Kano and Osun
A statement jointly issued by members of the group and endorsed by Mohammed Abdul its spokesman, said event in the recent past is likened to connivance with the officials of INEC and the state government, to manipulate the electoral outcome of Kogi elections due for November
The clamour became neccessary in view of the unholy alliance between the state government and some visiting INEC officials to lokoja, led by Hajiya Amina Zakari under the guise of orietnatation and  re-orientation of staffers of INEC, in Kogi, towards the November election
According to Ahmed it is already in the public domain that alot of underhand and underground arrangement, is ongoing between the state INEC office,designated Federal electoral commissioners and other officials to compromise the election, to favour the incumbent Governor Yahaya Bello
The image maker warned that what was started in Edo and spread to other parts of the country, will not be condoned in Kogi,saying the demand of the people is free,fair and credible elections in the state
‘We will not be party to continuous bad governance and misgovernance in connivance with federal might, to continue to starve the good people of Kogi state, under the guise of a ruling party,whose intention is to impose an unpopular candidate on the people of the state in November ‘
‘We are going to replicate the scenario on Benue,Sokoto,Bauchi and Adamawa state under a highly ressolve atmosphere, to do away with leadership failure under Yahaya Bello in Kogi ‘
‘The choice of INEC in Kogi or whatever, is to maintain an unbiased stance as the electoral umpire or risk any eventuality in the event of conceding to the already politicsed position they have openly maintained ‘
‘It is only in the current INEC under the controversial Chairman Mahmud Jega,that INEC will conduct election under a violent ridden atmospheres,but results will be generated to forcefully impose the choice against the wishes of the people’
He called on the international communities,election observers and Civil society Groups to beam it’s search light on kogi’s November election as arms and thugs are daily been deployed to election prone areas, to intimidate eligible and hapless voters
According to Mohammed,Kogi demands to be liberated from federal might,connivance and forceful imposition of a non performing government of Yahaya Bello in November
He urged kogi people to this time around be determined to vote and protect his their votes, no matter what it takes,and to also lay down their lives for the total salvation and political freedom of Kogi state
